Providing excellence in Christian Education and programming for children birth – 5th Grades
First Pres Children's Ministries mission is to come along side parents (family) to lay a spiritual foundation that in God's timing will lead a child into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
To be a biblically functioning community of believers that teaches and models for children how to become Christ followers.
--We are a child-centered ministry. (I Corinthians 9:22)
--We value application oriented lessons. (Psalm 119:11)
--We believe that children are impacted by relationships that model the biblical truths they are learning. (Luke 6:12-13; Acts 2:44-47)
--We value creativity in our lesson. (Mark 10:13-16)
--And last but not least…we want KidZone to be a fun place!
With the many pressures kids face each day they all need their own superhero.
Jesus is our REAL super hero! In KidZone our number one super power is reaching kids in real life situations and helping them to apply biblical truth to their regular everyday experiences. Bringing scripture alive for them … right where they are today…that’s the most powerful weapon kids can have. Super heroes don’t just teach about Jesus, but model for kids what it means to know, love, and live like Jesus. Kids are then equipped with super powers of their own to share the good news with those who don’t know that Jesus can be their REAL super hero too.

Small groups are a vital part of our ministry in all areas of children’s. We want them to experience friendships in community where they can know and be known, love and be loved, celebrate and be celebrated. Our desire is that our Children’s Ministry department will be one in which relationships can be built. Life change happens best within the context of relationships, and Small Groups can serve as the structure for relationships to develop and grow. It is with the help of strong, dynamic, and committed leadership teams that we accomplish our goals, and we are looking forward to some life-long relationships between leaders and kids being built this year.
We’re traveling a very special road this year and we appreciate all your support and prayers. It is a great opportunity that we have to reach kids while they are young…so we need to seize that opportunity now!
