Serving ... From First Pres ... To ... Throughout The World

Each one should use whatever gift they have received to serve others …”  1 Peter 4.10

servingChristian faith is global … Jesus is the hope of the world!

Christian faith is personal … God cares for each of us and knows us by name.

At First Pres Yakima (FPC) we believe that our calling is to speak about Jesus with compassion and boldness, and to live out what we believe through practical acts of service.

We are committed to the Yakima Valley.

For over 100 years FPC has actively met real needs of real people in our community

We are committed to our nation.

At FPC we respond to national crises with financial support and through the sending of mission teams.  In 2006 we worked in New Orleans to bring hope and the love of Jesus to people recovering from Hurricane Katrina and the following floodwaters.

 We are global Christians.

Jesus came to seek and save those who were lost and broken.  Because we love Him we too reach out to those who are hurting and in need.  FPC has responded in practical and significant ways to the Tsunami in Indonesia, to the hurting in Cambodia, Africa, Albania and many other places around the world.

At First Pres, w e hope you will find encouragement, a place to both belong and a place where you can make an eternal difference in real lives here at FPC.

The Service Through Missions & Ministries Team (Mission Commission) typically meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:00am in the Adult Ed Room.  You are always welcome.  We are excited about the future of missions at First Pres.  God is working in our midst.   We invite you to: plug in to an upcoming event, join a short term mission team, become a prayer missionary,  correspond regularly with a long term missionary, and offer your own prayer and financial support to the local and international.  If you have questions or would like more information, give us a call, we would love to talk with you.  248.7940 x133 (Pastor Gustavo Carvajal)
