Experiencing Various Elements of Prayer to Experience God's Heart
The Prayer Mosaic is a unique opportunity to engage in prayer in a variety of forms. These prayer experiences are designed for you to be able to move at your own pace from one station to another in any order. Take your time. Take a risk and be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Wall of Hands…Garden Room
“When you offer me your hand, I see your heart.”  This station allows you to make requests for yourself and for the world by writing your needs on the left hand (the hand of the heart) and the needs of the world God has brought to mind on the right hand (the hand of authority).  Next tape it to the wall trusting others will join with you in prayer. Then as a member of God’s holy community place your hand on that of another and pray for them.

Ministry at the Feet…Parlor
“Lord, are You washing my feet?”  To serve and be served is the greatest gift, opening ourselves to receive the simple, humble act of letting another wash our feet.  It is Jesus “ incarnate” in our sister in Christ helping us become a part of Him. “If I do not wash you, you have no part in Me.” Simply sit and receive.

Anointed for Healing…Sanctuary
“Is anyone among you sick? Let her call the elders of the church, and let them pray over her, anointing her with oil in the name of the Lord.”  Sickness comes in all forms; spiritual, physical, emotional, mental. But we have “Good News”!!  Jesus came to heal the sick!!  Come and be anointed for healing of any kind and be set free!!

Communion…Chapel
“He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.”  As we take the bread we realize He was broken in body and spirit…participating in and understanding all our brokenness. Let Him be with you there.  Then take the wine and receive the life-giving “blood” of the risen King who calls us to “rise up” with Him in newness of life. The invitation is for all.

Sound of Many Waters…Chapel Entrance
“And now why are you waiting?  Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.” One of the greatest gifts of our faith is confession.  Write those things you are ready to confess on your hand or on the paper provided and then let them be washed away by the holy waters of forgiveness.

Light a Lamp…David Ferry Lounge
“They were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.” The prayers of the saints rose like incense before the Lord.  As you pray for the burdens on your heart take up a stone for each request, symbolically giving it to the Lord as you put it in the bowl that represents His hands. Then turn and light a candle in thanksgiving before the Lord lifting your heart to Him… grateful for His unfailing love.

The Wonder of His Story…Sanctuary Balcony
“For in Him we live and move and have our being”   Here is an opportunity to sit in the silence one on one with the majesty of God reflected in the story of stained glass. His story is our story…and our story is His story. Allow the Lord to reveal His amazing love for you through all the experiences of your life. Light and dark, good and evil, plenty and want…He is always with us and never forsakes us. Journal the revelations of your “His-story”.

The overall goal of the Prayer Mosaic is allow the participants to “experience” prayer and the Lord through the disciplines and traditions of the church.  We offer confession, intercession, communion, silence, solitude so that we can move through the various aspects of our hearts and bring each to the Lord.  Your role at the stations is to facilitate the experience through prayer, listening, serving and just being present to your sisters in Christ as a minister of the love and “presence” of the Lord.  As you prepare ask the Lord what His heart is for each of these stations and “lay your crown down” at His feet in loving surrender and adoration of Jesus.
